Likewise, we heartily support the affirmation of the Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) of Palestine, at this heartbreaking time for the Palestinian people. As you read more about the prize winners below, you will understand the importance of raising up these heroes of struggle, while Big Ag honors people associated with technological and profit making endeavors from the corporate-controlled world of agriculture that is neither sustainable nor provides healthy food for humanity. So on October 15 and 16, think of these winners and what they mean in contrast to the corporate dominated model of Big Ag.
